TRANSCRIPT OF REVIEW IN South Wales Echo : 20.2.96
NIGHT OF HEAVY ROCK -
When you arrive and the stage is surrounded by a battery of more than
50 speakers, some strung 40ft in the air, you know you're not in for a
quiet night.
And Deep Purple, one of the biggest heavy rock outfits of the 1970s,
thundered away for two hours of the best and loudest sounds around.
Guitarist Steve Morse has replaced Ritchie Blackmore, But the rest,
Front man Ian Gillan, Jon Lord, Roger Glover, and Ian Paice were all
familiar names.
It was a night heavy rock fans would not have missed.
