Tinley Park Show August 22nd
Dream Theater opened up at 7PM sharp. I found them a complete waste of time. ELP came out at about ten till 8 and played a wonderful and exciting set. Keith Emerson is still the best keyboardist around (sorry JL). ELP themselves were worth the price of admission. I'm really glad I got to see them.
Then the Purple people came out. Opening with TED instead of Hush, I liked Hush, but Ted got everyone up and rockin'. Steve Morse played a brillant set while John Lord seemed a bit reserved. Ian's vocals were mixed down low and he was coughing all night. Overall a great show. Seemed a little short but a great concert just the same. The into to Woman From Tokyo was EXCELLENT!!!
