Saturday The Final Night 1/31/98
It was a a great night this past Saturday, here in Los Angeles, Ca at the HOB. DP has just finished a 4 night stay, I saw them on opening night Wed. 1-28-98, and they were good as usual. But I must say, this past Saturday night, they were flaw less, in their show. From the opening song Hush to the last chords of Highway Star, the show was simply amazing!!!!!!!!
Steve Morse is a great fit in the Purple machine, and the band seems to be getting along so well, and having such a great time playing live. The engery level from the band was so high. The set list was great, IG sounded amazing and boy was he hitting his notes, and his screams, I dont even think he was looking at his book of lyrics. Great new song Seventh Heaven, if the new album is like this we are all in for a big treat.
Sometimes I Feel Like Screaming, was played with such beauty and feeling by the band, and some nice back up vocals by RG & SM. I love that song, it has such feeling to it. Thank you, IG, JL, IP, RG, and SM, and every one involved with DP, for 4 great nights here in Los Angeles, Ca.
Dont be strangers here, come back real soon, and give us all a thrill again.
