A short review of DP show: Mineirinho (Belo Horizonte,Brazil) March 27th
It was the second time I went to a Deep Purple show, and the band seem to be better each time. They played well and I had a lot of fun, though the sound was not good (Mineirinho is a gymnasium, and it's acoustic was not made for concerts). The show was "fantastic, superb", like Ian Gillan described the public. When they played "Sometimes I Feel..." lots of people lit their lighters, and when DP came back to play "Black Night" and "Highway Star", it was delirious. Jon Lord made the accompaniment in the first moments of Steve Morse guitar solo. They made a progressive sound!! And there were also other good moments and surprises. Ah, I don't mind if the guys experiences new visuals (Ian Gillan short-haired cut was strange) if they keep playing like they did yesterday.
