I just screamed and jumped around
As we stood waiting for Deep Purple to get on stage we almost froze to death, but from the second we saw Gillan and the others we were hot and sweaty all night long. Having seen them in Denmark only two days earlier it was interesting to see what I would feel this time.
The show was incredible! Next to Stockholm 1996 this is the best Deep Purple I have ever heard. "Smoke On The Water" and "Speed King" (what about that dog, Gillan?) were so intense and heavy that I just screamed and jumped around. What a gig!
Gillan’s singing was better than ever and Steve Morse played better than he did in Denmark. What Ian Paice did on "Fools" is something I could never find words to.
It was a magic concert and I can't wait for the next tour.
