What a cool show!
First time seeing Purple, and they rocked. "Woman From Tokyo", "Lazy", "Hush", "Smoke On The Water", "Perfect Strangers", "Ted The Mechanic"... among others. Yeah !!!! They were on !!!
Uncle Ted (Nugent) opened and rocked as usual, while Skynyrd closed with a really great set, going through all the classics. Purple was awesome, Steve Morse played his heart out and made sounds come from his guitar that you wouldn't believe! Ian kicked butt, Jon Lord is amazing, Roger had the bottom line going, and Mr. Gillan was in tip top shape and really kept the crowd on their feet.
It's a shame it took me this long to get to see them. This was a fun evening all around!
