My favorite DP song!
I attended the Deep Purple concert at the PNC Bank Arts Center in New Jersey last evening courtesy of Mr. Roger Glover. Once again, thanks Roger!!! I won't go through the set list with the exception that they added "Knocking At Your Back Door", my all time favorite DP song!!! Roger told me they rehearsed it that day to add to the set. The band was very tight and solid and in my biased opinion should have been the headliner. Deep Purple definitely received the loudest response of the evening. When they finished "Highway Star" the crowd was begging for more. I just hope it's not long before they play the States again hopefully as the "headliner" where they belong.
As far as the other bands, Nugent was, well, Nugent, he does what he does very well. Lynyrd Skynyrd or as I refer to them (The Southern Rock All-star Team) I only caught the last three songs, though I've seen them live countless times. The crowd seemed enthusiastic but not as excited as when DP was on stage.
