Shoefiller extraordinaire
Deep Purple stole the show at the Zoo Ampitheatre in Oklahoma City last night. After a blistering (heat pun intended) set by Terrible Ted, DP hit the stage with the same energy of a band half its age. If anyone wonders about the ability of Steve Morse to fill the shoes of Ritchie Blackmore, don't. He is doing quite well thank you very much. There is a definite chemistry with the rest of the band, he is really a part of the legendary Deep Purple mystique. It was also very gratifying for this 39 year-old rocker to see girls about 18 or 19 up front and showing their "appreciation" for Ian Gillan and Co.
