Deep Purple in Adelaide
Saw DP on Thursday night!!!!!!!!!!! Fucking Brilliant!!!!!!!!!
The songs that stood out for me were "Fools", "No One Came", "Hey Cisco", "Mary Long", "'69", "Lazy" and "Speed King". Who could forget "When A Blind Man Cries".
I saw them in 99 in Adelaide and the Palace gig, but I think they were a bit better this time, Ian Paice was unbeliveable and Gillan's vocals were spot on, he could have sung "Child In Time" easily!!!!!!
Steve Morse, well, he is my new hero!! Jon Lord the Master and Roger Glover was firing on all 12 cylinders. I saw the Master classes by both Ian and Steve and got to meet them at the Adelaide airport and after the concert, got a heap of photos of them and with them.
All I will say is thank god that bands like this one are still around!!!!!!!
