Tour Review: Deep Purple World Tour 2000 in Kleine Scheidegg, Switzerland, April 15th, 2000
This was my first Deep Purple concert and it also was my first Open-Air in the snow.
The "Kleine Scheidegg", on 2081m height is a rather special place for a Open-Air Concert. The weather was horrible. It snowed during the whole concert. At the begining you couldn't even see the stage from the festival entrance because of all the snow and fog. Everybody were very cold, including the band. Anyway, it was a brilliant concert, and it was a great atmosphere.
I don't really remember the setlist, but some of the songs they played were: "Woman From Tokyo", "Bludsucker", "Sometimes I Feel Like Screaming", "Smoke On The Water", "Black Night", "Speed King", "When A Blind Man Cries", "Lazy", "Highway Star" and of course a lot of brilliant solos and some Swiss "yodeling".
The band was in a very good mood and I really enjoyed this great so called "snOwPEN Air". Hope to see you back in Switzerland soon!!
