Well, I guess I was one of those few sober at the Karlshamn festival... I have to say I enjoyed every minute of it. As I'm a totally nut when it comes to Ian Gillan I did everything I could to meet him, which usually isn't too difficult, this time it was though. When they arrived on the Thursday, the day before the gig, Gillan went straight up to his room and wasn't to be seen until the concert started about 24 hours later!!

I can tell you all that Steve Morse was here in Sweden for the very first time (just as Svante assumed) - he seemed to have a great time - if he hadn't have ears the smile would have gone all the way round his head!! What a man!!

Another thing that I found out and haven't had time to check out is the keyboard tech Mickey Lee (??) - he said he filled in on the Scarabus tour. It sounds very interesting. Can anyone confirm this??

I really wish the people on the rest of the dates in Sweden won't be as shit-faced as the ones in Karlshamn (but I have little hope of that) - I have those nice bruises all over me...

So, was the Swedish Radio there to tape it?? I looked for their van but didn't see anything. No press at all really, I still haven't read any reviews.Talk about ignoring the band. But I guess they can't miss the remaining 8 dates?!

Anyone who's going to those dates - feel free to get in touch, I'll probably see all of them and it'd be great to meet you, unfortunately I missed Svante and his friends - but we could do a new try!!
