Deep Purple Nov. 23, Hartford
After waiting over 5 years to see the band and waiting over 9 years to see
Ian Gillan again it was well worth the wait and the 3 hours I had to drive.
The show was the best I have ever seen from them and I have seen them 8
times. The band seemed very relaxed and for the first time in memory they
seemed to be having fun and not just going through the motions of the same
set lists of the 1980's tour. (I am sure thanks to Blackmore not being around
anymore, I don't think he would have the balls to try Fireball, No One Came,
or When A Blind Man Cries live) Anyway, I think this was a fantastic show and
I hope they will continue to put out great albums like the last and continue
to tour.
