A long time friend and fellow Purple/Gillan fan and I drove from
Pennsylvania to Ohio to see the band that's been in our hearts for 26
years and it was incredible. AS faras we're concerned a more talented
group of musicians does not exist. Steve Morse has breathed new life
into the band and the mood between the members and the smiles on their
faces was so great to see. Everyone was in top form and it was just
wonderful to see them enjoying themselves so much. There were a few
songs I missed in the set but then again they can't please everyone
totaly. The highlight of the show for me was to finally hear them do
When A Blind Man Cries.---Amazing! After the show we decided to be side
door jonnies. There were about 17 people still waiting when the band
members finally came out. Ian Gillan and John Lord stopped to chat
briefly and sign whatever anyone had. Thank you Ian for signing my Child
In Time book. I'll treasure it forever. We'll be seeing them again this
Friday in Pittsburgh, Pa. and I can't wait. If you think D.P. are just
another classic rock band then you'd better think twice!
