Yet another superb show by the Purps... if a little short. This
is the second time I've seen them here in San Antonio this year and yet again
they didn't fail to impress.
The evening quite rightly belonged to Deep Purple. From the opening bars of
Silver Tongue to the closure of Hush, it was a great show. I had hoped that
they would incorporate Walk On into their live set but it wasn't to be. Maybe
one day.
Having listened to Purple for nearly 30 years it's great to see people of my
own age there with their kids. They are the ones that are going to keep this
music alive forever. It will be a real shame when this band stops touring.
As an Englishman abroad it's great to see so many great bands here (my Union
Jack shirt always gets noticed - thank you John Sykes for the acknowledgement).
All I have left to say is - Roger, Big Ian, Little Ian,Steve and Don, keep doing
what you're doing, Bananas is a great album and the sound and energy is as fresh
now as it was back in the beginning.
Thanks guys.
