Wow, wow, wow... OK, so it was fabulous, wonderful, superb. The sound was of the type that even the ultimate hi-fi buffs would go home and junk all their precious black boxes for - the awesome live sound of such an energy level performance. I was there as one approaching 50 a little too fast who was inspired by listening to Black Night on Radio North Sea International all those years ago. With me was my son, 17, no mean guitarist currently doing Grade 8, who had his inspiration lifted a good few years ago by hearing Richie Blackmore's DP riffs. The sheer entertainment and prowess of Steve Morse and the band came accross so strongly that, even as regular concert goers, we would rate this as one of the best I've ever been to. I've also heard a wonderful quality bootleg recording that someone made that night, too. So I get to live the moment over and over again.
