Holy Mother of God! Saw the band at Plymouth last night and wow! Firstly; the support; The Planets, wasn't looking forward to them at all but soon forgot that when they played. Very good combinations of styles, mainly classical and rock with a touch of flamenco. Great stuff! Also look out for the female guitarist! Then Deep Purple; absolutly amazing! Wasn't expecting such a great performance, but they were astonishing. Every member shone, with both skill and personality. The band lept from the stage and walked among the fans at the start while we were seated, shaking hands while they played. The atmosphere was brill, great people, great song selection (though I would have loved to hear Sometimes I Feel Like Screaming), and Steve Morse! What more could a budding 17-year-old guitarist want? Thanks a lot boys, amazing stuff, please keep keeping the real music alive!
