Purple peace of mind

At age 46, I'm ashamed to say this was my first DP concert, but then, this was the first time they've played Dubai.

Unfortunately, the organisers had overpriced the venue so the VIP seats were only 5% full, and there was even room on the floor. But the faithfuls that had paid up were treated to a gem of a show. The 'radio-tuning' intro to Smoke On The Water was superb. I was almost regretting the abrupt end to Stairway To Heaven, until the anthem itself erupted. Steve Morse is indeed a genius. Sorry. The band are genius.
