Agency provocation My first time ever to see Deep Purple - and in an awesome back-to-back package with Ronnie James Dio nonetheless. The amphitheatre was a very good setting for events like this. Good visibility for almost everyone and a very good sound. Pouring rain during the first part of Deep Purple's set fortunately didn't harm the very good atmosphere. Coming all the way from the Netherlands to find out that the German concert agency doesn't even know what time its own shows start was shocking, especially as it meant missing half of Dio's performance. Another minus for the agency was the food and drinks which were very hard to get due to ridiculously few points of sale and consequently long queues. To top it all off they also hustled people out of their money by applying a recycling fee of one Euro on top of the drinks. All in all, I don't mind getting soaking wet as I really liked the first time I saw Deep Purple performing live, just as I liked what little I saw of Ronnie James Dio.
