It's a kind of magic It might sound like a paradox, but I've never felt so peaceful after almost two hours of really loud hard rock music as I did yesterday. The whole atmosphere of the concert was fantastic. The concert started an hour later (due to technical reasons - as they always say), but at least everyone forgot about it as soon as the band appeared on stage. There were some really special moments during the show. It was a perfect blend of fast and slow songs. I melted when they played their ballads. And I was jumping as if I wanted to reach the stars when they played Smoke, Hush and Highway star. There are no words to describe what was happening in the audience while each member of DP was playing those looooong solo parts. Ian Gillan talked a lot to the audience, and it made the whole event more personal. Then they started playing the Latvian national anthem and the crowd went wild. From the very beginning there was a connection between the band and us, the audience. And between every single person in the audience. There was magic in the air, some kind of the sense of love and unity And the name of it - Deep Purple. We all enjoyed it. And gosh, they still rock! I'm grateful for each and every moment DP gave to me.
