No NEC It was on a rainy day flicking through the new issue of Kerrang magazine and there it was... Deep Purple live. "Excellent," I thought, a christmas present for my dad. So I phoned up straight away to book tickets to see the grandfathers of rock. February the 16th was the date so I made sure that I was not at uni on this weekend. I came home on the 14th of Feb, my bank balance £90 lower and just for this concert. To say me and my father were excited was an understatement. Deep Fog set the scene an hours drive to the NEC to be greated with a sign: Cancelled. What an anticlimax. So I would have to cancel work the next week as well but it would be worth it. Yesterday on the 23rd of Feb and £130 pound in total for one concert [What? You bought new tickets for the re-scheduled show?! Rasmus] and looking forward to it. Yet again I looked on this site - oh no, not again. I cant believe it. A quick call to the NEC and yes it's true, the kings of rock cancel again. No reason this time? [Plenty of reason! You'd not have wanted to hear the Gillan we heard in London. Rasmus] As one of the younger generation of rock fans I can't wait to yet again see one of the greatest bands play again, so this one goes out to the guys: "Get Well Soon." Myself and all the other fans will be waiting for the gig - I am sure it will be great.
