Very much up to it I loved Deep Purple in the early 70s, but was a bit reluctant when asked to go watching them at The Empire. I didn't think 60-year-old rockers would be up to it. But they proved me wrong. They were thoroughly brilliant. They played No One Came as perfect as the original on the Fireball LP. I saw Purple at Knebworth Park in the 80s, but being closer to the stage I enjoyed the gig at Liverpool much more.
