Great show I must admit I don't know that much about Deep Purple but I found that I hadn't wasted my youth listening to friend's LPs. It was the first time that DP had ever played Dublin, a fact aknowledged by Ian Gillan. He was in great form, chatting away to the audience. Smoke On The Water lifted the roof off the Point. I've been there so many times and it was one of those special moments. Jon Lord is a special musician, must be treated with care. He is extraordinary, people around - me and I was sitting right in the center - were shouting at each other saying Lord was really on top form. He looked as if he was enjoying it, as were all the band.
